Sprinter interior dimensions that actually matter
High-roof Sprinters give roughly 6 feet 4 inches of floor-to-ceiling height, which is the single feature passengers notice first — you walk down the aisle instead of duck-walking. Interior width runs about 70 inches, with roughly 53 inches between the wheel wells. Cargo length behind the front seats spans approximately 11 feet on the 144-inch wheelbase to just over 15 feet on the 170-inch extended body. In passenger trim, those numbers translate to a usable aisle, real shoulder room in three-across rows, and, on the extended body, a luggage bay behind the last row.
The front cabin: MBUX, controls and comfort
The driver's environment is closer to a Mercedes SUV than to a work truck. The current Sprinter carries the MBUX infotainment system with a touchscreen, natural-language voice control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Seats are height-adjustable with armrests and available heating; the driving position is high and upright with excellent forward visibility. Storage is everywhere: an overhead shelf, a deep dash tray, door bins sized for large bottles and a fold-down center position that doubles as a work surface. Available driver aids include blind-spot assist, crosswind assist, lane-keeping and active brake assist.
The passenger cabin: seating, belts and climate
Factory passenger interiors are built for people-moving, not luxury: durable fabric or vinyl over foam, three-point belts at every seating position, grab handles at the door, LED lighting along the ceiling, and a climate system that ducts conditioned air the full length of the roof so the fourth row is not baking. Rows are removable, which is how fleets convert a 15 passenger van into a 12 passenger van with a deep luggage bay. Step-in height is managed with a lit side step, which matters when you are loading a church group or an elderly parent.
Executive and luxury Sprinter interiors
Conversions rebuild the same shell with reclining leather captain's chairs on swivel bases, folding tables, wood or composite flooring, ambient LED lighting, extra sound insulation, privacy glass, USB-C and 110V power at each seat, and, in higher builds, screens, a partition, a refrigerator and a lavatory. The mechanical vehicle is identical; the difference is entirely in what is bolted to the floor and glued to the walls. That is why an executive Sprinter drives exactly like a passenger Sprinter but feels like a different vehicle from the seat.
